چکیده
Understanding patterns of species diversity along an altitudinal gradient is the major topic much biogeographical and ecological research. The aim this study was to explore how richness density orchid subspecies in terms different categories underground organ systems pollination vary central Balkans. area divided into 21 100-m vertical intervals. Data were analyzed using both non-linear linear regressions with three data sets (total orchids, orchids forest habitats, non-forest habitats) case orchids—total area, orchids—forest habitats—non-forest area) density. results showed a hump-shaped pattern density, peaking at 900–1,000 m. habitats are generally slightly greater than lowland areas, whereas herbaceous vegetation types dominating high altitudes. Tuberous dominate low mid-altitude palmately lobed fusiform tubers (“intermediate orchids”) altitudes, while rhizomatous predominate stands. Both deceptive self-pollinated show unimodal trend peak areas. This underlines importance areas for survival mid- high-altitude rewarding orchids. In addition, mid-altitudes have been shown be crucial suggest that Balkans determined by mechanisms related land size habitat cover, partially confirming species-area relationship (SAR) hypothesis. contributes significantly better understanding potential impacts changes on diversity, thereby facilitating more effective conservation planning.

Diversity of Woodland Communities and Plant Species along an Altitudinal Gradient in the Guancen Mountains, China
Study on plant diversity is the base of woodland conservation. The Guancen Mountains are the northern end of Luliang mountain range in North China. Fifty-three quadrats of 10 m × 20 m of woodland communities were randomly established along an altitudinal gradient. Data for species composition and environmental variables were measured and recorded in each quadrat. To investigate the variation of...
متن کاملBiodiversity of oribatid mites (Acari: Oribatida) along an altitudinal gradient in the Central Alps.
Oribatid mite communities were studied in the Central Alps (Obergurgl, Tyrol, Austria). Samples were taken on four sites along an altitudinal gradient from 2050 m a.s.l to 2900 m a.s.l., in different vegetation units (pine forest, Nardetum, Caricetum, Androsacetum). A total of 86 species were found, most of them occurred only at one altitude, four species were found in all four study sites. Thr...
متن کاملDiversity and distribution of Odonata (Insecta) larvae along an altitudinal gradient in Coalcomán mountains, Michoacán, Mexico.
Evaluating components of landscape diversity is essential for the implementation of efficient conservation strategies. We evaluated the diversity of Odonata larval assemblages from the Coalcomán mountains (CM), Michoacán, Mexico, and related it to local (site-level) habitat variables. Larvae were collected from shores, riffles and pools in five streams, counted and identified to species, twice ...

Carabidae diversity along an altitudinal gradient in a Peruvian cloud forest (Coleoptera)
Carabid beetles were sampled at five sites, ranging from 1500 m to 3400 m, along a 15 km transect in the cloud forest of Manu National Park, Perú. Seasonal collections during a one year period yielded 77 morphospecies, of which 60% are projected to be undescribed species. There was a significant negative correlation between species richness and altitude, with the number of carabid species decli...
